Prisoners in California are about to get a taste of that special liberal leadership that has been failing the non-incarcerated citizens regularly. Governor Newsom is at it again buckling to the LGBTQ and allowing for a dangerous environment to be created. This time he has set his sights on making prisons more P.C. when it comes to genders and pronouns. He is passing a law that is going to allow inmates to choose whether they want to shack up with females or males depending on how they identify. There no way this could go wrong…
“The Governor…signed SB 132 by Senator Wiener requiring CDCR to house transgender, gender-nonconforming and intersex people according to their own sense of where they will be safest. This new law will require CDCR to record the individual’s self-reported gender identity, gender pronouns and honorifics throughout an inmate’s term.
“Thank you Governor Newsom for once again proving you are a champion for LGBTQ people,” said Senator Wiener, Chair of the California Legislative LGTBQ Caucus. “SB 132 is life-saving legislation that will protect trans people in prison, particularly trans women who are subject to high levels of assault and harassment in men’s facilities.”
The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) “cannot deny requests solely because of inmates’ anatomy or sexual orientation. When a request is denied, the state must provide a written statement to the inmate explaining the decision and give them an opportunity to object.”
So this could lead to men claiming they are trans in order to get to live with imprisoned women. These prisons better start selling contraceptives if they are going to allow men and women to mingle that have nothing but time on their hands. But that’s a best-case scenario. This could also endanger women since some male offenders are violent. This just looks like a lawsuit waiting to happen. Now female prisoners could possibly be raped by men in female prisons, just because a guy socially identifies as a woman.
