[WATCH] Chicago Mayor Blames Republicans For The City's Astronomically High Violence
So let me get this straight.
A Democratic mayor, in a Democratic city, which enforces Democratic policies which include some of the strictest gun control laws in the country are blaming Republicans for black men murdering each other every single day?
According to Fox News,
Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot clashed with Sen. Ted Cruz over the latest burst of gun violence in the city, claiming Monday that Chicago’s decades-long crime problem is actually the fault of Republican-run states like Indiana – because they don’t have “commonsense gun legislation” in place.
The retort came after Cruz, R-Texas, tweeted that “gun control doesn’t work” and pointed to the Democrat-run city as evidence that “disarming law-abiding citizens isn’t the answer.” His tweet referenced an article reporting that at least 25 people were shot in Chicago during Labor Day weekend amid a continuing crime wave in the city.
Lightfoot tweeted in response to Cruz,
“60% of illegal firearms recovered in Chicago come from outside IL—mostly from states dominated by coward Republicans like you who refuse to enact commonsense gun legislation,” Lightfoot said. “Keep our name out of your mouth.”

What exactly are these "common sense" gun laws and what makes them "common sense"?
Near the end of the video, Lakai Vinson, the criminal defense attorney says that we need to start at step one with gun control, referring to universal background checks and banning assault rifles so we can get to step two.
What do you think they want for step two? Then what about step 3?
Incrementalism is the name of the game in liberal politics. They have done well with inching their ideas and policies into action over the last 50 years. They can never take enough, they'll always want more.
