Warehouse Filled With Hurricane Relief Supplies Found In PR Rotting Away
During Hurricane Maria a few years back Puerto Rico was hit hard, and they complained that we did not send them enough supplies. But it looks like local government corruption may have had a hand in how many of the supplies those in need saw. A Puerto Rican man has discovered a large warehouse full of supplies including water, food, baby supplies, radios, and camping gear. And Liberals blamed Trump for the lack of aid...
"The head of Puerto Rico’s emergency management agency is out of a job Sunday after residents of Ponce, one of cities hardest hit by the earthquakes that ravaged the island late last month, discovered a locked warehouse stuffed to the brim with emergency supplies delivered to help those affected by Hurricane Maria more than two years ago.
One resident of Ponce posted a video of the discovery to Facebook, showing a massive warehouse full of pallets upon pallets of bottled water, non-perishable food, diapers, baby formula, and emergency supplies."
"The supplies were apparently delivered as part of a Hurricane Maria relief effort, back in June of 2018, and never distributed, though the (now former) head of Puerto Rico’s emergency management office says he was never instructed to give out the supplies, and then insisted, to media, that residents had full access to all items."
"Carlos Acevedo, director of Puerto Rico's Office of Emergency Management, was dismissed Saturday. The governor appointed Maj. Gen. José J. Reyes, the adjutant general of the Puerto Rico National Guard, to replace him."
"There are thousands of people who made sacrifices to bring aid to the south and it's unforgivable that resources have been kept in a warehouse," the governor said in a statement."
"Several residents were seen opening the rolling metal doors of the building and calling for authorities to distribute the supplies. Families began lining up Saturday afternoon outside the warehouse, hoping to get bottled water, food and emergency radios."

Well, at least the supplies can be used now due to the recent disasters.
"Puerto Rico has been ravaged by a series of earthquakes since December 28. In the last two weeks, tremors and aftershocks have destroyed or severely damaged hundreds of structures and forced thousands of people in the southern area of the island to flee their homes."
Liberals were quick to blame Trump for the lack of supplies meanwhile when it turns out the local government was hoarding away the very supplies we sent. There is no telling how many more warehouses like this are full of supplies meant for the needy just rotting away. Looks like we can't trust the local Puerto Rican local government to take care of their own people.
