The presidential debate was far smoother this time around. Moderator Kristen Welker did a better job keeping the candidate’s answers brief and there was far less crosstalking. Welker brought up the topic of immigration and how children were separated from their parents at the border. She asked Trump what the plan was to get 500 children reunited with their families. Trump was quick to explain that in many cases criminals and coyotes used children to help get across the border. Border Patrol reported on this before that migrants were renting families hoping they would receive more leniency if they had kids. Biden came back at Trump but he was ready and Biden could not handle the retort.
“Children are brought here by coyotes and lots of bad people, cartels, and they’re brought here, and they used to use them to get into our country. We now have as strong a border as we’ve ever had; we’re over 400 miles of brand-new wall. You see the numbers, and we let people in, but they have to come in legally,” Trump answered Welk.
Trump also explained that it was the Obama administration that built the cages the MSM likes to demonize Trump about.
Biden then had a chance to come back at Trump.
“Coyotes didn’t bring them over, their parents were with them,” Biden said in response. “They were separated from their parents. And it makes us the laughing stock and it violates every notion of who we are as a nation.”
Trump reminded Biden that his administration built the cages, which Biden tried to ignore as he continued with his attack on Trump.
“Let’s talk about what we’re talking about,” Biden replied. “What happened? Parents were—their kids were ripped from their arms and separated, and now they cannot find over 500 sets of those parents and those kids are alone. Nowhere to go. Nowhere to go. It’s criminal. It’s criminal.”
Trump then explained that the facilities were nice and that they were doing their best to reunite the parents before landing a serious blow on Biden.
“I will say this. They went down. We brought reporters, everything. They are so well taken care of. They’re in facilities were so clean and have gotten such good. But just ask [Biden] one question, Who built the cages?
For some reason, Biden didn’t respond…

Dems are always trying to demonize the president yet it was Obama who enacted the zero-tolerance policy that Trump was upholding. It’s apparent that Dems don’t really care about these migrants if they did they would have gone after Obama. But instead, they attack Trump because he is far more transparent about what his administration is doing. I am surprised Biden even commented here. He was part of an administration that was doing the same thing. I guess he is just counting on his supporters being uninformed.
