“During an appearance on CNN on Monday night, Pelosi was asked if she was “concerned” about Trump’s announcement that he had been prescribed the drug by the White House physician.
“As far as the president is concerned, he’s our president and I would rather he not be taking something that has not been approved by the scientists, especially in his age group and in his, shall we say, weight group — what is it, morbidly obese they say. So I don’t think that’s a good idea,” Pelosi told CNN anchor Anderson Cooper before he moved on to another question.”

“Trump is 73. At his last full checkup in February 2019 he passed the official threshold for being considered obese, with a Body Mass Index of 30.4. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a BMI of 40 or above is considered “severe” obesity, which some also call “morbid” obesity.
“Trump does not suffer from any existing heart condition, according to the results of his physical, though he does have a history of high cholesterol, for which he takes medication.”
“President Donald Trump declined to respond Tuesday to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi calling him “morbidly obese.”
“I don’t respond to her. I think she’s a waste of time,” Trump told reporters after meeting with Republican senators on Capitol Hill.”
This is low even for Pelosi and in an indirect way is much more of a personal attack on Trump as opposed to the usual attacks about policies. It’s good to see our president didn’t take the bait and just let her show off her ugly disposition.
I can only hope this is the beginning of a new trend for the President. I’ve long wished someone would be able to explain to him that responding to every idiotic thing fools like Pelosi, Schiff, Nadler, Waters, spew, is often counter productive. His actions should be sufficient as a response.
