Bernie Sanders Tells His Followers To Be More Inclusive
Bernie Sanders has found himself a new fan in Podcast Host and MMA Announcer Joe Rogan. Rogan announced on his podcast that he was likely going to be voting for Sanders in the upcoming Democrat Primary. Bernie Sanders followers were upset about this as Rogan does not agree with Sanders on many points. Bernie Sanders found out about the endorsement and instead of turning Rogan away like some of his die-hards supporters may have wanted, he embraced his new supporter.
Rogan's praise of Sanders.
“I think I'll probably vote for Bernie... He’s been insanely consistent his entire life. He’s basically been saying the same thing, been for the same thing his whole life. And that in and of itself is a very powerful structure to operate from.” -Joe Rogan pic.twitter.com/fuQP0KwGGI

Many of Bernie Sanders's fans were disheartened that he would accept Rogan's endorsement and expressed as much on Twitter telling him to turn him away or politely refuse. Sanders put out a statement to address his supporter's concerns.
"The Sanders campaign issued a statement in response to the backlash.
"The goal of our campaign is to build a multi-racial, multi-generational movement that is large enough to defeat Donald Trump and the powerful special interests whose greed and corruption is the root cause of the outrageous inequality in America," Sanders' national press secretary Briahna Joy Gray said in a statement to Fox News. "Sharing a big tent requires including those who do not share every one of our beliefs, while always making clear that we will never compromise our values. The truth is that standing together in solidarity, we share the values of love and respect that will move us in the direction of a more humane, more equal world."
Ben Shapiro actually weighed in on this endorsement and the Twitter outcry.
"Both these people say they'll vote for Bernie. One of them wrote a letter to a judge urging leniency for an ISIS recruit, routinely engages in anti-Semitic outbursts, and blames America for Venezuela's collapse. The Woke Police are angry with Bernie over the other one."

Joe Rogan Podcast is one of the more popular with over 7 million followers. So this is kind of a big deal as Sanders just got a fair amount of exposure with Rogan's announcement. It could be part of why Sanders was quick to accept the endorsement.
