WH Press Secretary Sets The Record Straight Over Fauci Firing Rumor
Dr. Fauci has been advising the president and doing everything he can to aid the American people through this pandemic. But every once and while when he appears on a Liberal network they do their best to make it seem like Trump did not do enough or did not listen to Fauci's advice. But this is the same MSM that was up in arms when Trump did take action to protect us and conveniently overlook it. So of course when Libs saw a tweet where Trump retweeted a comment that contained the #fire Fauci the MSM ran with it. WH Press Secretary Hogan came forward to clear up the MSM's assumptions since Trump was not endorsing that part of the tweet he was simply pointing out that they were wrong.
White House spokesman Hogan Gidley cleared up the MSM assumption via twitter.
“This media chatter is ridiculous — President Trump is not firing Dr. Fauci. The President’s tweet clearly exposed media attempts to maliciously push a falsehood about his China decision in an attempt to rewrite history. It was the Democrats and the media who ignored the Corona Virus choosing to focus on impeachment instead, and when they finally did comment on the virus it was to attack President Trump for taking the bold decisive action to save American lives by cutting off travel from China and Europe. Dr. Fauci has been and remains a trusted advisor to President Trump.”
"Fauci has faced criticism from many over the lockdown that has drastically and negatively effected the U.S. economy. He has responded that even without the models that predicted hundreds of thousands of deaths, a lockdown was clearly necessary based on the experience of other countries in dealing with the pandemic.
The president reiterated his support for Fauci later during Monday's coronavirus task force media briefing update. He explained that he retweeted a message about the media but didn't endorse every opinion in the tweet."
This is why we have a problem with misinformation in this country. The MSM outlets that wrote on this topic, questioning whether Trump was going to fire Fauci, didn't read the whole tweet or were just trying to sensationalize the tweet when there was nothing there. Trump was simply trying to point out that the person was wrong.
