Lawful Virginia gun owners came together at a rally earlier this month to show their support for the second amendment. There was a huge turnout as over 15k people showed up and peacefully let lawmakers know that they were not ok with Gun Control. But lawmakers didn’t seem to care about the wants of the people, so they started the process of pushing through Gun Control Laws just a week later.
“A Democratic-led House committee voted Friday for several pieces of gun legislation that a Republican majority has blocked for years. Those bills include limiting handgun purchases to once a month; universal background checks on gun purchases; allowing localities to ban guns in public buildings, parks and other areas; and a red flag bill that would allow authorities to temporarily take guns away from anyone deemed to be dangerous to themselves or others.
The advancing bills do not yet include a proposed assault weapon ban, a top priority for Gov. Ralph Northam and one that’s drawn fierce resistance from gun-rights advocates.
The measures will go to the full House for a vote, likely next week, before going to the Senate, which has already passed some gun-control bills of its own.
“Our action today is for the families who have lost loved ones as a result of gun violence,” House Speaker Eileen Filler-Corn said.
“The House committee passed seven out of eight gun bills that Northam has said were his priority. But it did not take up an assault weapon ban, which some Democrats said they don’t think can pass this year. The Senate has already killed off its version of the bill and some moderate Democratic senators said they won’t support the legislation, which would outlaw the popular AR-15-style rifles.”

The Lawmakers have not pushed through any of the bans or confiscation laws that they were threatening this past December, but supposedly those are still in the works. Most Virginian counties have declared themselves second amendment sanctuaries and that combined with the recent rally, Gun Grabbing lawmakers should know better. So if you look at how the Dem Lawmakers are acting now, just about a week after the rally, it shows just how indifferent they are to the wants of the people. Virginian gun owners better watch out, it looks like Dems will be coming after their guns soon.

IMHO, I feel Virginians shld challenge these laws in a courtroom, fed or state, and I don’t see how the law cannot be declared unconstitutional! Isn’t this why the law even exists?
John – the final remedy is of course for the courts – state and federal – to rule that these ‘laws’ are indeed unconstitutional. Unfortunately that takes a LOT of time and money – in the meantime, how much damage will be done to the Law Abiding Citizens of Virginia?
Vote them out, Recall on those that do not listen to the majority of voters. They are to be working FOR us NOT against us.
It appears the gun control laws being passed do little more than make life harder for the law abiding gun owner. Only a criminal would want to make life harder on the law abiding.

Northam is a fool and idiot. A doctor by trade who would let a living child die on the table to allow the mother a choice after the baby was born during an abortion operation and had survived. That is murder Gov Northam. You are a criminal and should not be the governor of anything! This jerk needs to be removed from office and all his minions with him.
