Tulsi Gabbard Demands Hillary Pay For All The Damage She Caused
Presidential Candidate Tulsi Gabbard is going after Hillary Clinton. She claims Clinton caused her 50 Million dollars worth of damages when she accused her of being a Russian asset. Gabbard claims it was in retaliation for supporting Sanders in 2016.
"Clinton lied about her perceived rival Tulsi Gabbard," the lawsuit, filed in U.S. district court in New York, read. "She did so publicly, unambiguously, and with obvious malicious intent. Tulsi has been harmed by Clinton’s lies — and American democracy has suffered as well."
In October, Clinton said that an unnamed Democratic presidential candidate was "the favorite of the Russians."
"I'm not making any predictions, but I think they've got their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate," Clinton said, speaking on a podcast with David Plouffe, a former adviser to President Obama.
"When a CNN reporter asked Clinton's spokesperson, Nick Merril, whether Gabbard, who has served in the Army National Guard, was the candidate she was referring to, he said: "If the nesting doll fits," a reference to Russian nesting dolls."
"In the lawsuit, filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Manhattan, Gabbard alleges that Clinton’s suggestion that she is favored by Russians is “retribution” for Gabbard backing Clinton’s rival Bernie Sanders in the 2016 primary.
“Whether out of personal animus, political enmity, or fear of real change within a political party Clinton and her allies have long dominated,” the lawsuit states, “Clinton lied about her perceived rival Tulsi Gabbard.”
Gabbard claims to have suffered “actual damages” of at least $50 million because of Clinton’s charge, though the lawsuit does not name a specific dollar amount sought from Clinton."
Gabbard did originally come back at Hillary but she just does not have the same name recognition or clout.
"Thank you @HillaryClinton," Gabbard wrote. "You, the queen of warmongers, embodiment of corruption, and personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long, have finally come out from behind the curtain. From the day I announced my candidacy, there has been a concerted campaign to destroy my reputation. We wondered who was behind it and why. Now we know — it was always you, through your proxies and powerful allies in the corporate media and war machine, afraid of the threat I pose."
It would be great to see this stick but Clinton's lawyers will probably squash this. Gabbard is in 9th place and likely not going to be elected as she was not able to meet the minimum requirements to be in December's or January's debate.
