Shut The Front Door: AOC Now Claims Texas Is Attacking "Menstruating Persons"
Looks like AOC was sick of being out of the limelight, so she made a ridiculous comment on CNN marginalizing women in the process. AOC appeared on Anderson Cooper 360, where they talked about how Governor Abbott had recently passed anti-abortion legislation. AOC was of course furious, so they played a clip where Abbott addresses some Liberal concerns, and apparently, it went way over AOC's head as the legislation was pretty fair. But the craziest thing about the interview is how AOC referred to women as "menstruating persons."
The "controversial" statement Abbott made that has libs panties in a bunch.
"Why forces a rape or incest victim to carry a pregnancy to term?" A reporter asked Gov Abbott.
"It doesn’t require that at all because obviously, it provides at least six weeks for a person to be able to get an abortion," Abbot replied. "So for one, it doesn't provide that. That said, however, let's make something very clear.
"Rape is a crime and Texas will work tirelessly to make sure that we eliminate all rapists from the streets of Texas by aggressively going after, arresting them, and prosecuting and getting them off the streets," Abbott said. "So goal number one in Texas is to eliminate rape so no woman, no person will be a victim of rape. "
"What did you think when you heard that?" Cooper asked AOC.
"Well I find Governor Abbott's comments disgusting, and I think there's twofold. One I don’t know if he is familiar with a menstruating person’s body. In fact, I do know that he’s not familiar with a female or menstruating person’s body because if he did, he would know that you don’t have six weeks,” she said.
“I’m sorry we have to break down Biology 101 on national television, but in case no one has informed him before in his life, six weeks pregnant means two weeks late for your period,’” she said. “And two weeks late on your period for any person — any person with a menstrual cycle — can happen if you’re stressed, if your diet changes, or for really no reason at all. So you don’t have six weeks.”

I know AOC claims she knows all about the female body and biology but in the event of a rape/incest, there is a thing called the morning after pill. Many rape victims will take that to prevent pregnancy. It doesn't take 6 weeks to take. Women can also take a pregnancy test a week after their period, which would be 5 weeks, well within range, and some tests can detect pregnancy even earlier than that. So this bill is very lenient.
The truly messed up thing here is how AOC is encouraging confused women, that think they are men, by saying "menstruating persons." If she knows Biology 101, then she would know only women menstruate...
