Senator Rand Paul Bashes Schiff For Abusing His Power
Senator Rand Paul mocked Rep Adam Schiff on Twitter over his blatant abuse of power where it appears he violated the civil rights of Rep Nunes and many others in his attempt to gain evidence to impeach Trump. This tweet relates to how Schiff admitted to getting the phone records of many people that are not thought to be relevant to the impeachment case, including Sean Hannity and Rep Devin Nunes.
"On the heels of the Senate impeachment trial of President Donald Trump, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) trolled leading pro-impeachment Democrat Adam Schiff, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee.
“An anonymous ‘whistleblower’ informs us that this was found in a hotel room that [Rep. Adam Schiff] recently check out of. Hmmm…,” Senator Paul captioned a mock photo of a note.
“Things to do,” the fake note reads, “Remember to tap Devin Nunes phone.

In early December, the House Intelligence Committee “released a report on the impeachment inquiry which included records of calls from Nunes, presidential lawyers Rudy Giuliani and Jay Sekulow, journalist John Solomon, Fox News host Sean Hannity, a Giuliani connection Lev Parnas, and other White House associates,” Fox News reported at the time. “Schiff subpoenaed both AT&T and Verizon for the information. The act has sent a chill among Republicans concerned about the chairman’s reach.”
Rep. Nunes commented about how it was a civil rights violation and the dangerous precedent it sets.
“They have now set a precedent where Adam Schiff can go get any phone number he has to AT&T and AT&T is going to comply,” the congressman explained, according to Fox.
Schiff likely overreached as he is a big-time Trump hater. He tried as hard as he could to use the Mueller Report to takedown Trump and it seemed he never fully accepted that the Mueller Report was the dud, even after the rest of the Dems did. But there is no telling how far Schiff would go to try and impeach Trump, the hate is strong in this one.
