Scary: Students Claim They Would Give Up Their Rights To Be Less Offensive

This is why we need more conservative colleges… College students at the very least should understand the importance of their rights. But they have been liberally indoctrinated to think that our freedoms are no big deal. They are ready to turn them over so that they can be more P.C. God help us all when this generation starts taking over positions of power. Campaign Reform’s Edwardo Neret interviewed students asking them if they’d be comfortable giving up their freedom of speech in order to prevent hate speech.

Most students Neret interviewed not only said they’d be willing to give up some of their First Amendment rights, but they also said they’d be willing to turn over their social media accounts to their schools for offensive speech inspection.

“I definitely think that they should be monitoring the hate speech because that shouldn’t be allowed,” one person said, adding that she’d be willing to let her social media accounts be examined “if it has to do with helping the school in … creating a sense of more safety and security and erasing the hate speech.”

I have nothing to hide,” another student said.

Many were quick to say they would trade their free speech rights for the comfort of others on campus.

“I would do that, cause I mean if I’m just giving up a little of what I care about just to make others feel better, I’d do that,” another person said. “I’d make that exchange.”

Watch The Clip Below.

After watching that video it is scary to think this generation will someday be leading this country. We can only hope that by the time they do they realize that our freedoms should not be infringed upon. Liberals are calling everything hate-speech these days and there is no quarter given for circumstance. One of these students seems to understand that no one is perfect and in youth, many people say stupid things. But it’s sad to see that the rest of these students are ready to lose their freedom of speech and are almost happy about it.
