Salon owner Shelley Luther appeared on “The View” to talk about how her story in how she disobeyed the lockdown orders and opened despite being told her business was non-essential. The interview went fine aside from Sunny Hoston who accused her of helping to spread the Corona Virus. But Luther held her own and thoroughly explained herself as well as how Hostin should be gauging how we are doing during this pandemic.
“Shelley, coronavirus cases are already rising in Texas and across the country where restrictions have been lifted, and you’re worried about your staff and your customers,” Hostin said. “I mean, I would assume you’re worried about your staff and customers getting sick, since there’s now an uptick because of people not following the rules like yourself.”
“Well, I think there is a rise in the COVID cases because there is more testing available and that has been discussed before. So we expected a rise in the cases. What we need to look at is the number of deaths, if that is plateauing at all, and to make sure that we have room in our hospital beds,” Luther answered. “And Texas has plenty of room in their beds and are able to care for the people that need to come in at this time. As a matter of fact, there’s doctors and nurses getting furloughed because there’s not enough work.”

Earlier this month Luther was called into court for refusing to abide by the lockdown she told the Judge the following:
“I have hairstylists that are going hungry because they’d rather feed their kids. So, sir, if you think the law is more important than kids getting fed then please go ahead with your decision but I am not going to shut the salon.”
The Judge sentenced her to a week in jail but she was quickly released after her attorney won a quick appeal from the Supreme Court.
This is a big win for small business owners that can’t wait for the lockdown to end as they need to open to food on the table. Luther here is just lucky that she doesn’t live in a blue state or she may have been locked up for much longer and likely would not have received the same fair treatment.
Say Whoopi–the government is not here to ‘take care’ of us. The government is here to see that we can take care of ourselves.

I call BS on this poll everone I speak to but one and I see about 130 a week, and most are Republican, say he has no; they feel he miss-states too many things and that even though we should go back to work we should still help the most vanurnable. They do not believe he acted quick enough. And before I get hate here I voted for him and it is just an opinion… But this poll is skewed…
