Romney Shows Us Where His Allegiance Lies
The presidential election is not yet decided. But if you watch the MSM you'd think that Biden had won and that there wasn't even any controversy. The MSM doesn't seem to care about claims of voter fraud or how 5k votes magically turned up in Georgia. So far Trump has not been able to turn any states over with the recounts and found ballots. But we all, as conservatives, at least have hope, that is unless you are Senator Mitt Romney. Romney is upset that Trump would investigate cases of voter fraud and demand recounts in this close race. He claims Trump ensuring the American people actually get who they voted is "undemocratic."
Romney tweeted his attack on the president.
“Having failed to make even a plausible case of widespread fraud or conspiracy before any court of law, the president has now resorted to overt pressure on state and local officials to subvert the will of the people and overturn the election. It is difficult to imagine a worse, more undemocratic action by a sitting American president.”
"But Romney was not alone in criticizing the presser put on by Trump campaign attorneys. Nebraska Sen. Ben Sasse (R) told Politico, "Wild press conferences erode public trust. So no, obviously Rudy and his buddies should not pressure electors to ignore their certification obligations under the statute. We are a nation of laws, not tweets."
Sasse added, "When Trump campaign lawyers have stood before courts under oath, they have repeatedly refused to actually allege grand fraud — because there are legal consequences for lying to judges."
Trump ally Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) told Fox News' Guy Benson of the Trump team, "They have to be able to show that proof. I haven't seen proof yet."
Are we sure he is conservative? Romney here is backing the claims of the MSM with his anti-Trump tweet. Does he in fact want Biden to win? Because that's what it seems like. I could understand if this was a clean-cut race without claims of voter fraud or faulty voting machines, but that's not the case. This was also an extremely close race where more Americans voted than any other time in history. Trump had almost 74 million Americans come out to vote for him. So maybe Romney is just jealous of Trump since he could never garner that much support from the American people.
