Restrictive L.A. Lockdown Still Allows For This Outdoor Activity
The media is now claiming that the Corona Virus is spiking again, so Liberal leaders are scrambling to lock down their cities/states. Multiple Dem Leaders put restrictions on Thanksgiving gatherings and apparently that is not enough. L.A. is now enacting a three-week lockdown that is going to restrict outdoor gatherings to protests, and due to a Supreme Court decision, religious gatherings. It would have just been protests had libs had their way.
"Los Angeles County, health officials on Friday announced a temporary stay-at-home order set to take effect on Monday that urges residents to avoid gathering with people they do not live with.
The temporary order will be in place for three weeks through Dec. 20 and will allow essential and emergency workers, and those securing or providing essential and permitted services, to leave their homes, the county said in a news release.
“Residents are advised to stay home as much as possible and always wear a face-covering over their nose and mouth when they are outside their household and around others,” officials said."
But you can still do some things but expect long lines as many buildings will now have occupancy restrictions.
- "Essential retail – 35% maximum occupancy
- Non-essential retail (includes indoor malls) – 20% maximum occupancy
- Personal care services – 20% maximum occupancy
- Libraries – 20% maximum occupancy
- Fitness centers operating outdoors – 50% maximum occupancy
- Museums galleries, zoos, aquariums, botanical gardens operating outdoors – 50% maximum occupancy
- Mini-golf, batting cages, go-kart racing operating outdoors – 50% maximum occupancy"
So at least they are not going to be completely killing small businesses? That's kind of an improvement from the last time. But this is still a huge overreach on the government's part. It looks like business owners are going to have to start calling their customers protesters or hosting all day everyday bible study, in order to get by. This is a horrible time to be restricted, Christmas is a big deal for most retailers, and many customers may just shop online instead of having to wait to enter a store that is 80% emptier than normal.
