Joe Biden has picked Kamala Harris as his running mate for this election. Out of all of the many candidates he could have chosen, he picked Harris, who dropped out of the presidential race due to a lack of support. But it is important to check out her politics as she is likely going to be the one actually running this country if Dems somehow find a way to win this Fall since we all know Biden is not up for it. So back in 2018, Harris made the bold claim that Americans should be welcoming the caravan with open arms and tolerance…
“We are a country that … our strength has always been that we are a tolerant country, that we are welcoming, in particular, those who have fled harm,” Harris said of the caravan. “And the idea that we’re vilifying any one group and the fear-mongering, that’s not in the best interest of our country.”
“What our country wants and what the people of our country want is they want leaders who are focused on the challenges that they face every day,” Harris continued. “Like can they put food on the table and pay the bills by the end of the month … not vilifying one group for the sake of fear-mongering and politics.”
Was it vilifying to want 7000 foreigners to at the very least be vetted before coming into our country? Because that seems more like common sense… Shouldn’t we want to ensure that we are not allowing criminals into our country? Dems never seem to care about the welfare of Americans along the border when they go on their unrealistic rants about the illegals.
Harris is just an interesting choice, If not for the BLM movement I wonder if we would instead be seeing Warren or even Sanders be picked instead.
Trump weighed on Biden’s interesting choice.
“She was my No. 1 draft pick,” Trump said. “She did very very poorly in the primaries, as you know.”
“I thought she was the meanest, most horrible, most disrespectful of anybody in the U.S. Senate,” Trump said, referring to Harris’ comments during Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination hearing.
“She was very disrespectful to Joe Biden. It’s hard to pick someone that was that disrespectful,” Trump said referring to a debate moment to Harris’ blitz against Biden in last summer’s primary debates.”
“She is a person that’s told many many stories that were not true,” Trump replied, before pivoting to her positions on other policies. “She wants to raise taxes, slash funds to our military, she’s against fracking…she’s in favor of socialized medicine– she wants to take health care plans away from 180 million Americans.”
As it stands progressives are angry that she was picked, as she is not far enough left for them. But really, there should be no surprise here, Dems have already shown us how bad they are at picking out candidates with Biden.
