During an episode of “The View” the hosts decided to talk about Vice President Kamala Harris. A poll recently came out revealing that she has the lowest approval rating for a Vice President since the 70s. The Liberal hosts of course love Harris and were ready to defend her. McCain however seemed to agree with the poll and pointed out that Harris was not presidential material.
Whoopi broached the subject of V.P. Harris’s poor approval rating and after giving Reid a shot at it, passed it off to Meghan McCain asking “So Meghan, do you think she stumbled coming out of the gate?”
“I think she stumbled when she was running for president. She dropped out before Iowa. She was a very early dropout. She wasn’t resonating with voters way before President Biden was elected. I mean I think it is interesting the tone from the media on her leadership on immigration because when there were kids in cages on the border under president trump, it was horrific, and now that we aren’t even allowed to send journalists in to film it and she’s in charge, it’s OK. It’s just a different kind of person in charge of what’s happening on the border,” McCain replied.
“She’s made a lot of tactical errors and you don’t have to just take it from me, because I’m obviously a biased actor given that I’m a Republican, but places like Politico and Axios reported how disappointed the White House was on her first foreign trip,” McCain continued. “She did an interview where she was laughing about the border when she was asked, ‘Are you going to visit the border?’ And she said, ‘I also haven’t been to Europe,’ and laughed very uncomfortably. Her laugh has become a way for people to take hits at her because it’s uncomfortable to watch … and I always thought she needed more media training than she had.”
“The problem for Democrats going into 2024 is if President Biden chooses not to run for re-election, she’s just not going to be a strong enough candidate to run for president. And if people don’t want to listen to me and think it’s all about race and gender, that’s fine. Honestly, it’s everyone’s risk to take, but Ron DeSantis would put her in the ground. I mean, it would be an election for Republicans. Republicans would love nothing more than to run against Vice President Harris,” McCain concluded.

McCain is absolutely right. Harris could only muster about 5% of Dems support while campaigning for president. The only reason she was added to Biden’s campaign is to add some diversity to his ticket. Warren, Sanders, and Buttigieg all had more support from Dems and could run again. But Harris was a dud and is proving to be an ineffective leader. Hostin claims Harris has been to the border while she was an A.G. as if that counts, and they all claimed she was disliked for her gender/race, but no one cares about that. She has proven that she can’t/won’t secure the border and it’s a simple fix, reinstate the policies Trump had in place. But no, the Dems don’t want that and it is making Harris look useless.
DeSantis would definitely destroy Harris if she ran for president in 2024, but so would almost anyone else on either side of the aisle.
