Liberals Blame Trump For Late D-Day Event, Then Have To Eat Their Words

More fake news spread throughout the nation on Thursday as President Trump prepared for a D-Day event in France.

The event was slightly delayed and they blamed President Trump for the delay citing his interview with Fox News.

According to The Daily Wire,

When the ceremony for the 75th anniversary of the Normandy Invasion was delayed several minutes on Thursday, the blame was quickly directed at President Donald Trump by some mainstream media reporters, but it turned out to be another claim based on faulty facts that just so happened to paint Trump negatively — and by the time a clarification was issued, the false claim had already gone viral.

“French television cameras spotted President Trump sitting down with Fox’s Laura Ingraham – fourteen minutes *after* the ceremony in Normandy was set to begin,” NBC News’ Chief White House Correspondent Hallie Jackson reported Thursday. “Thousands of people waited as an announcement overhead came on, declaring the program would be delayed until 11:15 [a.m.]”

Jonathan Lemire had to correct Jackson on what really happened.

D-Day ceremony in Normandy starting thirty minutes late, veterans were waiting. Trump did Fox News interview after he arrived, slowing him from reaching stage. But, from pool’s vantage point, he appeared to be done and ready before Macron arrived, at which point ceremony began

The funny thing is that she later corrected her tweet to reflect Jonathan Lemire’s account of the true events, but the way she went about doing it was to make it difficult to notice.

All she did was say, “More on this:” with a link to Lemire’s status as seen below.

She later made one more tweet to try and make it a little more clear,

As notes: from pool’s vantage point, the president appeared to be done and ready before Macron arrived, at which point ceremony began.

She should have just deleted the whole tweet altogether because at this point it’s been retweeted nearly 9,000 times and is just spreading more fake news.
