Harris Refuses To Answer Key Debate Question
Kamala Harris and VP Mike Pence debated Wednesday night. During the debate, Harris refused to answer a key question about the Supreme Court even when asked multiple times. Dems have been up in arms, angry that Trump gets to choose Ruth Bader Ginsberg's replacement. They hate that Trump is appointing so many Justices. They are now fearing that their precious Roe v Wade is in danger since there will be 6 conservatives to 3 liberals on the court once Barrett is appointed. So there is a fear that if Harris-Biden were elected then they would pack the court, adding additional judges until they are happier with the balance. So when asked about packing the court Harris dodged and even tried to justify if they did, claiming the Supreme Court is not inclusive enough.
"Your party is actually openly advocating adding seats to the Supreme Court, which has had nine seats for 150 years, if you don’t get your way,” Pence stated. “Now you’ve refused to answer the question. Joe Biden has refused to answer the question, so I think the American people would really like to know. If Judge Amy Coney Barrett is confirmed to the Supreme Court of the United States, are you and Joe Biden going to pack the Supreme Court to get your way?”
Harris then once again would not directly answer the question.
“I just want the record to reflect she never answered the question. Maybe in the next debate, Joe Biden will answer the question," Pence speculated.
Watch The Clip Below.
As you see in the clip Harris tries to justify the Dems want for Trump to wait by pulling out a single instance where supposedly President Lincoln decided to intentionally wait to appoint a Justice. But that was a lie... Meanwhile, there have been 29 instances where presidents didn't think twice and appointed a Justice.
Pence points out that her nonanswer about packing the courts, is an answer and that Biden will likely pack the courts. Harris tries to justify it by saying the Supreme Court is too white. So the Supreme Court needs to be diversified now? Clarence Thomas is black and Sonia Sotomayor is Latina. There is already diversity present in our Supreme Court. In fact, considering our nation is still over 60% white the court reflects the population. Whereas Harris and Biden would pack the court with minorities throwing off the balance.
