Dems only care about what the GOP is doing. Democrats can practically get away with murder and it’s no big deal. But if a Republican does something even slightly shady Dems are ready to end their careers. Just look at Trump. Trump told supporters they were going to have to fight like hell to keep their country. But towards the end of his speech said they are going to peacefully and patriotically protest and the Dems wanted him impeached. Rep Maxine Waters, on the other hand, told rioters to get more confrontational, encouraging violence but somehow Dems think that’s fine. Rep Lisa McClain called out Dems over this double standard and demanded Pelosi do her job, but since Waters is a Dem, she didn’t see the problem.
Rep. Lisa McClain in her speech called on Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., to apologize for encouraging Minnesota protesters to “get more confrontational” in the event that ex-cop Derek Chauvin is acquitted of murder for the death of George Floyd.
“Once again, this weekend, we saw a member of the majority openly call for more confrontation in a Minneapolis suburb,” McClain said. “That very night, there was a drive-by shooting … where police and the National Guardsmen were targeted.”
McClain was referencing a weekend incident in which drive-by shooting suspects fired at members of a National Guard and Minneapolis Police Department security team.
McClain added that if roles were reversed and a Republican had told protesters to “get more confrontational,” the House majority “would move to strip that representative of their committees and possibly move to expel them Congress.”
“Are those not the words that someone would use if they wanted to incite more violence or insurrection?” the Michigan congresswoman said of Waters’ remarks to protesters. “If the majority cares … about our nation, they need to get their own house in order and tamp down on the rhetoric.”
But they don’t care about our nation and are not going to hold each other accountable unless it is absolutely necessary. Just look at AOC she was calling detention centers at the border concentration camps and Dems did not even blink. If Dems truly cared about the nation they wouldn’t be allowing the border crisis to continue. But they need to fluff the electorate so they can keep their majority.
