When I started watching the Democratic debate on Wednesday night, there came a point – very early on I’ll add – that I had to just pause it and think about the whole thing.
There are just so many lies pouring out of the mouths of the Democrats it’s ridiculous. They’re still using the same talking points that they’ve been using for decades.
Haven’t people learned by now that after decades of this, if the Democrats haven’t improved anything, maybe they’re lying to you to get your vote?
That exactly what Elizabeth Warren did. She practically ignored everything that’s happened over the past few years and just spouted off the same garbage as usual.
“So I think of it this way. Who is this economy really working for? It’s doing great for a thinner and thinner slice at the top. It’s doing great for giant drug companies. It’s just not doing great for people who are trying to get a prescription filled.
It’s doing great for people who want to invest in private prisons, just not for the African-Americans and Latinos whose families are torn apart, whose lives are destroyed, and whose communities are ruined.
It’s doing great for giant oil companies that want to drill everywhere, just not for the rest of us who are watching climate change bear down upon us.
When you’ve got a government, when you’ve got an economy that does great for those with money and isn’t doing great for everyone else, that is corruption, pure and simple. We need to call it out. We need to attack it head on. And we need to make structural change in our government, in our economy, and in our country.”
Now, of course, the top is doing well, they naturally will when the economy is doing well. That’s capitalism.
But right now, unemployment is at its lowest levels. Not just for whites, but for blacks, women, and Hispanics.
Prisons aren’t what’s tearing families apart in African and Latino communities, it’s drugs, gangs, and dismal community standards and morals that are doing this.
We need cheap oil in this country, otherwise, the cost of getting to and from work would be very high…like it was under Obama. It would also increase the cost of energy for businesses, which would affect our overall take-home pay.
So drilling and more domestic oil production are very good for everyone in the US.
Finally, the only way government even helps the economy is when it stays out of the way. But the economy really is great for everyone. Warren needs to actually give some numbers and evidence of how bad off everyone in America is now. But she doesn’t, she just spouts off at the mouth.
