Dershowitz Calls This Impeachment What It Is: Political Theater

The Dems have rushed to push this impeachment through and in doing so have made huge errors that invalid the impeachment even if were valid. Legal Expert Alan Dershowitz listed the many times Dems have messed up during an interview on “Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla.”

FAILLA: “They are filming a sequel to impeachment will you be starring?”

DERSHOWITZ: “This is not a real trial. It’s a show trial. It’s theatrical, and I’m not an actor and I’m not a politician. It’s political theater. There’s no role for a lawyer here. Yesterday, they impeached the President of The United States without a single bit of evidence, lawyer, defense. It wasn’t any kind of a trial. It was just a vote. And that’s exactly what Alexander Hamilton said shouldn’t happen. So they broke a record yesterday, they broke two records. Talk about records and baseball. We all know they impeach the President for the second time. That’s a record. But they also violated six provisions of the Constitution in one day.”

Let me list them

1. First amendment: because his speech was protected by the Brandenburg case.
2. Criteria for Impeachment: He didn’t commit treason, bribery, or other high crimes or misdemeanors.
3. They denied him due process by not having an opportunity to respond.
4. They say they can put him on trial even after he leaves office. That is in violation of the constitution.
5. Then if they do try him as a private citizen it’s a bill of attainder.
6. And then number six, they tried to pressure the vice president to improperly invoke the 25th amendment.

Six constitutional violations in one day, a world record that I hope will never again be broken.”

DERSHOWITZ: “I don’t like anybody being impeached unless they commit impeachable offenses. So we’re going to see every president impeached on the first day he gets into office. It’s going to become a routine political weapon and it will not be available for when we really need it, like in the Nixon case. Nixon was the only appropriate impeachment in American history.”

FAILLA: “To be clear, you are or aren’t representing the President in this case?”

DERSHOWITZ: “I’m not. I’m a private citizen. I’m just expressing my views. I’ve taken a consistent view. I’m a liberal Democrat. I’m not a Trump partisan by any means. I’m going to keep defending the First Amendment in the marketplace of ideas, but I’m not his lawyer.”

This is such a weird time we are living in where the MSM and libs are determining our reality. The media called the presidential election before it was even done and then when Trump questioned it, the media didn’t look into it, they instead just questioned his sanity. They didn’t even accept that off chance that Biden may not have won and according to some sources there was all sorts of voter fraud. But Dems and Libs don’t want to chance it and would rather just accept Biden as their president regardless of who won.
