Cruz Reveals How House Dems Are Trying To Manipulate Americans
The House Dems have been making all sorts of slights towards the impeachment trial, claiming that it is rigged, a cover-up, or somehow unfair. But sometimes they are more smooth with their lies. Senator Cruz pointed out a tactic many of these House Dems employ when they are trying to demonize the GOP and Trump.
"The Democrats' trick here is that they're making a true statement and using the true statement to cover-up for the false statement they say immediately afterward? Knowles asked,
"Yes, and the media does this all the time," Cruz stated, adding, "That logical construct, 'X and not Y,' is a real give-away that they're engaging in lawyerly sleight of hand."
Cruz also noted that "X not Y" is a go-to trick used by House Intelligence Committee Chair Adam Schiff (D-Calif.).
"By the way," he added, "Adam Schiff says it very smoothly, he says it smiling and to date, I haven't seen anyone contradicting it and pointing out that half of that sentence is a total deception."
Knowles, who was noticeably impressed by the senator's analysis, observed, "That's an incredibly deceptive trick...."
"There's a reason lawyers are so beloved," a smiling Cruz sarcastically quipped."
They have also, it seems, been lying about the whole reason for this trial. It doesn't appear to be about impeaching Trump, that would be an added bonus for them if they were to pull it off. No, it looks like this whole thing is about trying to gain more power in the Senate by slighting them at every turn and trying to make the public think they are nothing more than the puppets of Trump.
Just look at Schiff's closing argument, he is basically attacking the credibility of any Senator that votes not to impeach Trump. He brought up an unsubstantiated claim just to make the public think it's possible that Trump might threaten Senators into voting for him. It's ludicrous. This just goes to show you how deceptive and manipulative the Dems can be. But maybe the whole trial is really telling as to how irrational the Dems are. Trump looks into corruption and then is attacked for it? Since when are we pro-corruption?
