CNN constantly tears into Trump. Don Lemon, Chris Cuomo, and Brian Stelter always find a way to tear into the GOP and Trump was their favorite to tear down. So now that Trump is out of office, you’d think they’d find a new target to beat on, but it turns out he is their bread and butter. Comedian Bill Burr noticed that they are full of it when his mother law turned on CNN and they were still complaining about Trump. He tore into CNN and explained what he thought they were really doing during his podcast “Bill’s Monday Morning Podcast.”
“She always puts on CNN. And do you know what those f–king morons are doing? Do you know what those f–king morons are doing?! They’re f–king talking about Trump,” Burr claimed.
“It’s like, do you think these people give a f–k who’s president? They want Darth Vader to come back. They want him to come back. Because they had nothing to talk about, because it’s show business, and Joe Biden is a f–king bore.”
“They can’t bitch about [Biden] because he’s wearing a blue tie”
“So now what do they do? They’re going out there, they’re doing what they did the first time to get this guy [Trump] elected by giving him all this free coverage while they act like they allegedly don’t like him. I don’t buy it. I don’t buy it. They are a corporate news channel.”
And Burr has a point.
“CNN has hemorrhaged viewers since Trump left office, with second-quarter primetime viewership down 68 percent year to year – the most of any cable news network – according to Nielsen data.
The Washington Times reported earlier this year that CNN lost 45 percent of its prime-time audience in the five weeks after Trump left office.”
CNN really needs Trump back in office. He was keeping the lights on for the biased network. Their CEO Jeff Zucker even admitted that they followed Trump because he kept the ratings up. So it is a love-hate relationship and CNN needs Trump far more than anyone needs them.
