China Ups The Ante Sending 25 Warplanes Into Taiwan’s Airspace

Geez, this is a heck of a time to have a senile president in Office. Russia has 80k troops at the Ukrainian border and now China is showing they mean business as they just sent 25 Warplanes into Taiwanese Airspace. It makes the whole threat “This is all ours” even more real.

The Chinese flight mission included 18 fighter jets, 4 bombers, 2 anti-submarine planes, and an airborne radar plane entering Taiwan’s defensive air zone, an act in violation of Taiwanese sovereignty. The aircrafts’ incursion marked the largest operation in Taiwan since it began regular flights over the country in September, according to Taiwan’s Defense Ministry.”

On Sunday, the Chinese aircraft carrier Liaoning sailed through waters neighboring Taiwan, prompting the USS Mustin to tail the ship until it left the contested territory. In March, some 220 Chinese vessels landed at Whitsun Reef, an area claimed by the Philippines and within one of the U.S. Navy’s defense perimeters. China’s aggressive actions have led top American military personnel to say China may invade Taiwan in the next six years.”

In response, Taiwan monitored the planes with its air defense missile systems, issued radio warnings and sent up its own jets, their government said.

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Sunday appeared to warn China of further provocations, saying it would be “a serious mistake for anyone to try and change the existing status quo by force.”

Appearing on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Blinken also said Washington has “a serious commitment to make sure that Taiwan can defend itself.”

This is the 10th day in a row China has sent its warplanes into the air zone of Taiwan, which it views as a breakaway state it has vowed to one day seize.”

The United States does not officially recognize Taiwan as its own sovereign nation and it is right off the coast of China. It’s going to be hard to defend them. If you couple this with Russia mobilizing troops on the Ukrainian border, we are about to be spread thin if we plan to defend everyone. China and Russia may also see this as aggression towards their countries and look to retaliate. Hopefully, they don’t coordinate their attacks.
