Bloomberg showed his hand during his first Primary debate, and it was weak. Warren decimated Bloomberg when she brought up his checkered past with women and really had Dems questioning what he was doing in the race. But it appears Bloomberg is not done throwing money at the problem, as the Nevada Caucus showed him just who to attack, Bernie Sanders. Sanders won Nevada with a heck of a lead at 20% higher than the second-place winner, Biden, which made many Dems realize that he was the real threat. So now instead of attacking Trump, Bloomberg is going all out with an attack on Sanders. It looks like he really is trying to buy this election.
“Mike Bloomberg is preparing a massive media campaign against Bernie Sanders, whose commanding Nevada caucus victory has also drawn the attention of other top Democratic candidates — and rankled establishment Democrats who believe that the far-left, self-avowed “democratic socialist” could alienate moderates and cost the party the White House.
CNBC first reported Bloomberg’s new approach, which will employ opposition research, surrogates, and advertisements across multiple platforms. The volley began on Monday, as the Bloomberg campaign unveiled a video accusing Sanders of being weak on gun control — an issue that Bloomberg has previously sought to corner. The former New York City mayor already has spent over half a billion dollars in campaign advertising, reports said.
The all-out blitz comes as Sanders’ partial defense of Fidel Castro’s brutal Cuban Revolution in an interview televised this weekend only underscored his possible vulnerabilities among Democratic moderates heading into Saturday’s South Carolina primary and the 14 critical Super Tuesday contests three days later.
Additionally, Bloomberg’s campaign on Monday delayed a scheduled CNN town hall so that he can spend more time preparing for Tuesday’s debate. He was scheduled to appear on CNN on Monday, but he’ll now join the network for the live question-and-answer program on Wednesday.”
“People within the Bloomberg campaign are also discussing whether to have surrogates and supporters write op-eds and show up on TV to speak out against Sanders, these people added.
Bloomberg’s campaign is sounding the alarm on Sanders, a self-described democratic socialist, ahead of Super Tuesday, March 3, when 14 states hold their primaries. Sanders has pulled ahead in state and national polls, while Bloomberg’s momentum has stalled somewhat following a poorly reviewed performance in the debate last week.
Bloomberg has yet to take part in a primary and has invested most of his campaign’s efforts into capturing delegate rich Super Tuesday states, including the biggest prizes, Texas and California. The campaign has previously acknowledged that Sanders is the biggest threat to capturing the Democratic nomination.
Bloomberg has an estimated net worth of just over $60 billion, giving his self-funded campaign voluminous resources to target President Donald Trump and Sanders. It spent over $220 million in January alone, Federal Election Commission records say.”
I wonder how many millions Bloomberg is going to waste on Sanders? Is he forgetting he still has to face off against Trump if he wins? He claims Trump is the real enemy and then launches a hug attack on Sanders. It seems like Bloomberg is full of it.
Oh well let him spend his money. Who cares.
Love it when the left eats itself hahahahaha.
There are no moderates in the Democrat Party
They are all Communist, no surprise here, except they finally are bragging about it!
Let those Democrat morons fight and spend their money. The winner gets to lose to President Trump! KAG!
