Ted Cruz Bashes California Governor For Irresponsible Tweets
California has a serious homeless problem, with 60k people on the streets. Californians have called out for help from their Liberal leaders, but their leaders have not been willing to properly address the crisis. They instead have been reactive, hiring poop patrols to clean the waste laden streets and have decided to blame Trump for their inability to serve the people. Governor Gavin Newsom tweeted about the homeless crisis, making it apparent that he was out of his depth.
Gavin tweeted about how he felt that they need to start giving free houses to the mentally ill.
"Doctors should be able to write prescriptions for housing the same way they do for insulin or antibiotics."
"We need to start targeting social determinants of health. We need to start treating brain health like we do physical health.
What’s more fundamental to a person’s well being than a roof over their head?"
"10 million Californians—1 in 4—suffer from some type of behavioral health condition. It’s not a narrow issue. It’s not a new issue. Physical health and brain health are inextricably linked. And our healthcare system has been designed to treat only one of those."
"Let’s be clear: Massive failures in our mental health system and disinvestment in our social safety net—exacerbated by widening income inequality and our housing shortage— has led us to where we are today: too many Californians left to live on our streets."

Senator Ted Cruz called out Gavin for his ridiculous tweet.
"This is the Leftist mind: write a slip of paper & a house will magically appear. Never mind that the person doesn’t have a job, the contractor can’t get a CA permit to build the house, rent control has caused a housing shortage & homeless people are crapping on the doorstep."
It's called wellness centers, facilities for the mentally unwell. People that are mentally ill need to be treated, not put into a free homes, that doesn't solve anything. Schwarzenegger recently put together a summit meeting to try and better address this issue. Trump sent Ben Carson to see what they can do to work on the crisis. I imagine things might start to get done now that people who actually care are getting involved.
