Biden's Campaign Mgr Explains Why Biden Has Been Absent For 80 Days
There are less than five months until the 2020 presidential election. Trump is out campaigning letting the public know he is ready to serve us for another four years. But Biden has practically been hiding at home, practically announcing he is too afraid to come out. FOX's Chris Wallace interviewed Biden's campaign manager Symone Sanders to find out what has been going with the reclusive candidate.
Wallace jumper right in talking about the double standard of Biden supporting the protests but then condemning the rally as unsafe. Sanders was quick to deflect and claim that somehow both events were not the same, somehow protesting without masks was safer than a rally... Wallace later asked Sanders about Biden's 80-day absence from press conferences and the campaign trail to which she said the following.
"Just because we're campaigning virtually does not mean we are not meeting actual voters across the country," Sanders said. "Vice President Biden has campaigned in Michigan and Florida. Dr. [Jill] Biden has campaigned in Colorado and Texas. So the reality is what we have been doing is following CDC guidelines."
When asked a second time why Biden has not held a news conference in 80 days, Sanders said that Biden and his campaign "take pride in prioritizing local media."
"And so the vice president is doing local media interviews, he's doing national media interviews, and he is taking questions from reporters," she said."

They also talked about how Trump is not doing well in the polls, yet people were not enthusiastic about a Biden win. Sanders claimed that Biden still pulls in the crowds and she felt that it was a non-issue. She should probably say at this point he used to pull in the crowds almost three months ago... During the interview Wallace pulled up a Trump quote where he said that Biden's staff is doing all public statements. He claimed Biden is not that well-spoken. Sanders was up in arms over this and said Biden would tell you himself if he was sitting there. And really that's the point where is he. Biden should be the one being interviewed by Wallace, not Sanders even if it is virtually. It could be that Biden's mental wellbeing is deteriorating and maybe they are trying to hide it. It certainly seems to be with all of the incoherent things he says during his virtual interviews.
