Mall Santa Claus is supposed to be an experience for little kids. Santa Claus asks the child what they want for Christmas, they tell him and they get their picture taken if they can afford it. But one “woke” Santa Claus at Harlem Irving Plaza Mall in Norridge, Illinois, thought that he should impose his personal beliefs instead of just sticking with the Santa Claus role. He told a child that he refused to gift any nerf guns for kids because it was a gun. He broke the child’s heart and the child ended up leaving Santa in tears. Is that what Mall Santas are doing now?
The mother posted about the incident:
“My poor baby. This was the first year Michael was excited to go see Santa. It was supposed to be magical but instead I had to watch my sweet little boy fight back tears because Santa told him No because of his own personal beliefs. I had to think fast and explain to him that this Santa was just a helper and not the real guy. I just wanted to console my baby and get him out of there, flipping out on Santa would have only made it worse. His Elfie is going to bring him a Nerf gun directly from the North Pole, from the real Santa, tonight.”

The post received a lot of publicity and the woke mall Santa supposedly felt terrible about the interaction, so according to the mall he resigned. The mall then sent the real Santa to the child’s house to fix the anti-gun, “woke” Santa’s mistake.
The DeCarlo family has had a flood of support from those that saw the post and are now looking to donate many of the nerf guns they received to those in need.
Now normally I would think the child is spoiled for crying over a toy, but this was more a child crying because his beliefs were being shattered. Santa a being that is supposed to reward good children with exactly what they want was telling the kids he was not getting what he desired all because it was suddenly against his belief. Liberals need to keep their ideologies out of Christmas.
