The 2020 presidential election had Dems from all walks of life entering the race. It seemed like Dems everywhere wanted a shot at becoming president and defeating Trump. But as time went by it really came down to Biden, Sanders, Warren, and Buttigieg on the Democrat ticket, that is until Bloomberg decided to join in. Bloomberg added his name to the race after everyone else was well established, but he thought that he could use his vast wealth to buy the election, and had he joined in sooner he very well might have beaten Biden in the primary. But despite Bloomberg just dumping millions into his campaign, he just didn’t have the clout to become a frontrunner and dropped out after Super Tuesday. In the short time that Bloomberg ran, he burned through money. Bloomberg could have paid every American $2 million dollars to vote for him and saved himself money since he blew over 1 Billion dollars in his attempt to run.
“…Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, whose final campaign finance disclosure forms were just filed, revealing, perhaps, the most epic presidential campaign failure in U.S. history. Bloomberg announced on November 24, 2019 that he was running for president to unseat President Donald Trump. He suspended his campaign less than four months later, on March 4.”
“In total, Bloomberg spent $1,221,777,405.26 on his 104-day campaign for 55 pledged delegates. To put that into perspective, that means Bloomberg spent $11,747,859.66 per day during his campaign and a whopping $22,214,134.64 per delegate.”
Bloomberg has a net worth of $54 Billion dollars.
“A person close to Bloomberg in the business community, who declined to be named in order to speak freely, recently told CNBC that the former New York mayor is still disappointed in the way his campaign panned out after spending just over $1 billion of his own money, and he’s not yet ready to get back into the public eye of taking on President Donald Trump.”
I would be more than a little upset if I wasted a billion dollars…
On average an American will only make about 1 million dollars in their lifetime. So Bloomberg spent over 1000 times that like it was nothing. How can a person that rich relate to the average American?
“Bloomberg could have paid every American $2 million dollars to vote for him and saved himself money since he blew over 1 Billion dollars in his attempt to run”. . . . uh . . . check your math.
More like @$20.00/person
Numbers has a problem with decimal points
Check your reading, Rick. Quote,” Bloomberg could have paid every American $2 million dollars to vote for him and SAVED himself money since he blew over 1 Billion dollars in his attempt to run.”
327 M x 2 = 654 M. He spent about 1.2 B, so he could have SAVED about 546 M.
Check your math, Alex. If Bloomberg had paid every American two million dollars, he would have spent roughly 454 TRILLION. I am pretty sure he has nowhere near that much money.
327,000,000 x 2,000,000 = 454,000,000,000,000
It is still, nevertheless, highly amusing that he spent over a billion dollars for nothing. He won’t ever be president, but Donald Trump will be, again.
If you lie the truth is not inside you.
The truth will flee. God will flee.
Thank you for listening.
It’s NOT a question of fairness (it’s OBVIOUS they’re NOT FAIR) — the REAL question is “are they the media any longer”? I believe they gave up the title (and aspirations) when they decided that the “truth” didn’t matter anymore and their job was to attempt to become politicians (and they’re not very good at that also). There are just to many “truth” outlets now — this misguided attempt by the “bought-off” MSM is now just a hollow echo from a lost soul shouting down a well shaft.
Democrats get confused with math. Democrats are Democrats, Über Alles.
Blooming IDIOT was not trying to be President he was just trying to be the ANTI-Trump the LIBERAL IDIOTS want.
Yes, it was his money. But our govt just spent 2.2T and looking to spend more in “aid” for this pandemic. Yet the money is going to big banks, corporations and state govts to decide who gets it and how much. For a paltry 250M, they could have given every American Adult $1M tax-free directly instead of the pittance of $2400 for a family of four. If they are spending money we don’t have, why not give to us directly? Think of the economic results of that. Housing BOOM, Automotive BOOM, Retail BOOM, Employment BOOM… Let that sink in.
So what, let him spend the money. He has plenty. Didn’t do him any good.
Bloomberg is true to form He is use to over powering people with his money He saw President Trump do it so all it takes is money right Wrong answer
