DeBlasio Bans Large Gatherings To Fight COVID With One Ridiculous Exception
NYC Mayor Bill DeBlasio claims he is doing his best to fight COVID. He is now banning all large gatherings. That includes fairs, parades, parties, concerts, and any big gathering. But when asked if that meant he was calling for an end to the protests suddenly health and the Corona Virus didn't matter as he explained protests somehow don't count as a large gathering, it has to be respected... I bet if it was a 2nd Amendment protest he'd call for it to be ended right away and blame it for spreading COVID.
During an interview with Wolf Blitzer DeBlasio explained the "clear" difference between a large gathering and the protests.
"...It means things like parades, you know things that here in the city could mean not just thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of people. It's just not time for that now," DeBlasio said explaining how large gathering need to be banned.
"What about protests? If people want to march down Fifth Avenue, are they gonna be allowed to do so?" Blitzer asked seeking clarification.
"Look, Wolf, this is always an area of real sensitivity. If you're just talking about health, we would always say hey folks you know stay home if you can. But we understand this moment in history people are talking about the need for historic changes," DeBlasio replied.
"I mean today, in New York City, you know, recognizing the power and the meaning of the message Black Lives Matter, which we did in front of Trump Tower today, this is a historic moment of change," de Blasio continued, "we have to respect that, but also say to people, the kinds of gatherings we're used to, the the parades, the fairs, we just can't have that while we're focusing on health right now."
.@NYCMayor tells Wolf Blitzer he's banning all large gatherings through September, because it's "just not the time."
Is he banning protests? Nope.

So I guess as long as you call your event a protest it's ok right? This is ridiculous, we are either in the middle of a pandemic or we're not. You can't play favorites here regardless of the cause. If DeBlasio thinks that COVID is being spread in large groups then he should ban all gatherings across the board including protests. But libs are all about pandering to these protesters, I mean that's how the NYPD lost 1 billion of their budget and we have all seen how that is working out for them.
