This is how it is done. Virginia’s new governor, Youngkin, did not waste time. Day one in office and he signed a whole bunch of much-needed executive orders to put an end to some of the Liberal madness that his predecessors had been imposing on residents.
“It’s Day One, and we are going to work just like we promised,” said Governor Youngkin. “The important steps we are taking today to begin the work of restoring excellence in education, making our communities safer, opening Virginia for business and reinvigorating job growth, and making government work for the people, and not the other way around.
My Day One Game Plan also includes 59 pieces of legislation and a package of more than a dozen budget amendments I am working on with General Assembly leaders, including our efforts to double the standard deduction, eliminate the grocery tax, and end the tax on the first $40,000 in veteran retirement pay. It’s a new day in Virginia, but the work is only beginning.”
“Newly-minted Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin started his first day in office with a bang that could reverberate across the nation as a signal to other governors on the fence between the people and the donor class.
Signing a slate of executive orders, Youngkin fulfilled some of the biggest promises he made to voters during his groundbreaking gubernatorial run. The orders include:
- Ending the use of Critical Race Theory in public education
- Investigating “wrongdoing” in Loudon County
- Opening the economy for all business
- Withdrawing from previous “green energy” initiatives that have been harmful to Virginia’s economy and bureaucracy
- Slashing “job-killing” regulations
- Allowing parents and students to opt-out of school mask mandates
- Rescinding vaccine mandates for all state employees
Youngkin also pledged to “restore integrity and confidence” in the state Parole Board, a move bolstered by the appointment of new Attorney General Jason Miyares, who has already announced he will begin the prosecution of criminal activities in districts in which Soros-backed District Attorneys refuse. There are also provisions for fighting human trafficking and antisemitism. Youngkin signed the orders immediately after his Saturday, January 15th inauguration.”
This is great. Governor Youngkin is preventing children from being poisoned with Liberal propaganda, helping businesses flourish, and bringing back freedom. So you know Libs must be pissed.
