The NSBA Is Now Paying For Calling Parents Terrorists

Serves them right! The National School Board Association was getting complaints that parents were out of line and demanding the schools reveal their curriculums and didn’t want their children to be taught the divisive Critical Race Theory.

So instead of respecting the wishes of parents, they went to A.G. Garland sending him a letter saying parents were like domestic terrorists that were harassing teachers and had to be stopped. Garland without any other evidence mobilized the FBI and was getting ready to ruin the lives of parents, that is until the letter found its way into a congressional hearing and light was cast on this shady Liberal plan to force CRT on the nation.

Once the letter was publicized states across the nation have been dropping out of the association. Turns out most states were not on board with the NSBA’s agenda to imprison parents. So now the NSBA is feeling the consequences of their actions in their funding.

The NSBA later apologized. The mea culpa, however, did not stop more than one dozen state education boards from withdrawing support from the NSBA.”

“…At least 17 states have withdrawn support for the NSBA, cutting off the organization from a significant reservoir of funding.”

The 17 state associations that have cut ties with NSBA collectively paid $1.1 million in annual dues to the organization in 2019, according to NSBA records submitted at a recent Florida School Boards Association meeting.

  • That was about 42% of the $2.6 million in dues payments it got from state school boards associations that year, and $1 of every $8 in total dues revenue.
  • The group gets more dues income directly from school districts, with more than 1,200 providing nearly $5.3 million this year, according to NSBA records. Like the state associations, some of those districts also have severed ties with the group this fall.
  • The $1.1 million figure likely undercounts state associations’ financial support, which also includes contributions related to NSBA conferences and events.
  • The Montana School Boards Association, for instance, initially budgeted for $68,000 in 2021-22 dues payments. But it estimated its total financial commitment to be much higher, at nearly $160,000. It voted last month to leave the NSBA.

An NSBA spokesperson told Axios the 2019 numbers “do not reflect the complete or current state of affairs for NSBA” but declined to elaborate.”

Who knows how many parents were about to be imprisoned for doing nothing more than voicing their concerns? I hope they do fail to raise the funds to continue on.
