The French President Just Showed Up Biden In A Big Way
We just lost 13 marines in Afghanistan for nothing. The intel leak revealed that we had a drone ready to take out the suicide bomber well before the incident. But the Biden Admin didn't want the shot taken as they were concerned about messing up negotiations with the Taliban that were underway. This whole Afghanistan debacle with the stranded Americans never needed to happen, that's just Biden's poor planning. We should never have been in this weakened position with the Taliban.
So Biden claimed he would go after ISIS-k for killing 13 of our marines, but the State Dept claims that they can't even tell who is in a plane in Afghanistan now, so it sounds like Biden was just all talk there. But while our president has been failing us, French President Emmanuel Macron has done us a solid and has avenged four of our soldiers who died back in 2017. French forces killed ISIS leader Adnan Abu Walid al-Sahraoui.
President Macron tweeted about it.
“The militant leader, Adnan Abu Walid al-Sahraoui, oversaw a group that claimed responsibility for an attack in 2017 that killed four American soldiers who were on patrol with Nigerien forces,” The New York Times reported. “And in August 2020, Mr. Al-Sahraoui personally ordered the killing of six French charity workers and their Nigerien driver.”
“This is another major success in our fight against terrorist groups in the Sahel,” Macron said in a tweet. “The Nation is thinking this evening of all its heroes who died for France in the Sahel in the Serval and Barkhane operations, of the bereaved families, of all of its wounded. Their sacrifice is not in vain. With our African, European and American partners, we will continue this fight.”
"Four U.S. military service members and four people associated with the military in Niger were killed during a 2017 attack, which al-Sahrawi acknowledged his role in. Additionally, Macron's office said al-Sahrawi personally ordered the killings of seven people — a Nigerian driver and six charity workers — in August 2020, Reuters reported."
This is the kind of win we need right now. With Biden at the helm, it may be for the best that we let other countries handle terrorists. I mean we have all seen now how little he cares for our military's livelihood.
