Ted Cruz Sets The Record Straight For Liberals Who Can’t Understand Obamagate

Dems are trying to sweep Obamagate under the rug. They don’t want to accept that their idol could have acted so rashly. So, of course, the MSM is calling Obamagate a crazy conspiracy. Vanity writer Gabriel Sherman posted the following question on Twitter.

“Serious questions for Trumpers: What is the scandal of unmasking an American official caught on an intercept discussing US sanctions policy with Ambassador of a hostile foreign country that had just launched a massive cyber attack on our election?”

Ted Cruz explained it to the confused Lib.

“Uhh, he was the incoming National Security Advisor & a 3-star general. He’s SUPPOSED to discuss sanctions policy. That’s his job. The unmasking was part of outgoing admin launching a massive sting operation to try to entrap him. Maybe this helps: imagine Bush doing same to Obama.”

There is strong evidence that President Barack Obama’s administration improperly weaponized U.S. intelligence agencies in multiple and shocking ways against Donald Trump and other political enemies.

It appears the Obama administration did this in a number of ways, including: fraudulently obtaining Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrants to spy on American citizens; promoting the Democratic National Committee-funded dossier assembled by former British spy Christopher Steele that was filled with lies about Trump; politicizing intelligence analysis; leaking intelligence; and spying on political opponents and journalists.”

This week’s revelation that an astounding 39 Obama administration officials – including then-Vice President Joe Biden – made 53 requests to unmask incoming Trump National Security Adviser Michael Flynn’s name from National Security Agency phone intercepts between Election Day on Nov. 8, 2016 and Jan. 12, 2017 was a bombshell.

The stunning revelation regarding Obama administration spying on Flynn by secretly recording his conversations with the Russian ambassador to the U.S. at the time appears to confirm allegations by President Trump and his supporters of a broad effort by the Obama administration to weaponize intelligence to undermine the Trump presidency shortly before it began.

Flynn was simply carrying out his duties by making contact with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak during the transition period after Trump was elected president. It is perfectly routine for incoming members of a new presidential administration dealing with foreign affairs to contact foreign officials to introduce themselves before taking office.

Making this worse, the 53 unmasking requests by Obama administration officials are probably the tip of the iceberg of the Obama administration’s abuse of National Security Agency intelligence to target Trump aides.”

The MSM has been doing it’s best to undermine this news because it is a serious allegation against Obama. But can you imagine had this been a member of the GOP they would have been on it like white on rice, ready to crucify him. Obamagate is just another great example of how Dems only care when they think they have something on the GOP.

  • Now whatCruz seemed to forget is that any meeting with a foreign delegate must be cordinated through channels and have another person there to record everything. Now Flynn did none of those things in any way. So it seems like Cruz is ayinf that a person in an administration can just do as they please and that is not how the system works or has worked, in this Government there are rules we operate under and if Flynn or other Administration decides to not follow the estblished rules thenthat is their peril. Flynn was already under investigation for his dealings as aunregistered peron dealing with a foreign Government, and that was Turkey, trying to get an American citizen deported to Turkey because the Turkey President accused that person of being part of a failed coup in Turkey which was proven wrong by the USA intelligence agencies.

    • Hey Robert, if what you say is true then we have a thousand questions to ask from Hillary’s “another person” that was there torecord everything the she did right? My daddy use to say, ” give anyone enough rope, and they’ll hang themselves everytime.

  • I’m sorry Robert, I just can’t recall the Obama administration doing this either? Could it be that because it was someone other than a democrat it’s not OK? But if they had a D in front of their name it’s OK? Lets just wait until all the facts are in and decide? Oh by the way, I hear the news calling AG Barr, Trumps wing man protecting him? Gee, I always thought obamas AG did the exact same thing!, but never heard a word from the democrats wing man [the press] on that? But, then again, the D in front of your name makes it “OK”? Hypocrisy at work unashamed.

    • It was perfectly fine to investigate Flynn’s call to the Russian Ambassador because, duh, the Russians had helped Donald Trump win the election, and it was necessary to find out if there was anything in the way of Quid Pro Quo.

  • It was both perfectly legal and the RIGHT thing to do to investigate Flynn’s calls to the Russian ambassador, and so when he lied to the FBI he really did commit an illegal act, which he really did confess to. That is not ”Obamagate.” That is investigating why the Russians helped Trump in the 2016 election and whether Trump was giving them anything back for it. BTEW: Trump is currently trying to invite the Russians to the G7 conference (all the other members of G7 are opposed). Now, I wonder why? What could the motive be?? (I wonder.)

In any case, there is no ”Obamagate.” (And there wasn’t any Pizzagate either.)

    • The FBI 302’s say he didn’t lie, Flynn was later entrapped by the corrupt Comey group of Obama led henchmen. Flynns only error was the stupidity of hiring the law firm he did as representation. Who would knowingly hire a law firm with Obama’s corrupt AG Eric Holder as a partner. They led him down a path to bankruptcy and then told him to plead guilty or see his son treated the same. That’s the Obama way.

  • Ted trying to ‘splain this to any and all libs and/or those suffering from TDS (including lots of rinos) reminds me of my old college philosophy professor’s favorite saying – “you can lead a student to knowledge but you cannot make him think”.
Let’s face it, regardless of how much proof there is, some folks will NOT accept it because orange man bad.
