Shocking: "The View" Host Has A Change Of Heart About Guns
The ladies over at "The View" usually attack Gun Rights whenever they get the chance. But now Host Sunny Hostin is claiming her family and friends are buying guns to defend themselves. She even went as far as to defend the second amendment. It looks like the truth about guns finally sank in.
"So Sunny more guns, more guns, why do you think more Black Americans, in particular, are buying guns? And do you think that will lead to gun control? Behar asked broaching the subject of guns.
"Well, it certainly led to gun control during the 60s and 70s when the Black Panthers started open carrying in California," Hostin started her reply. "Definitely, Regan responded and other politicians responded by cracking down on guns...And I will say anecdotally a lot of my friends and family members have begun to purchase guns. They've begun gun training and I think a lot of it has to do with the increase in violence against black people. The crackdown against black people.
If you listen to the FBI statistics, we had FBI Director Wray testify that the greatest threat in the United States is white supremacy, and who are the victims of white supremacy? Generally, they are African Americans. So I really believe that is why you are seeing African Americans now buying guns and arming themselves and protecting themselves. The second amendment is for everyone."

That is a big change from Hostin's stance back in September of last year where she claimed: "more guns do not make people safe." But even if her why is wrong, it's good to see that she is finally backing the second amendment.
Meghan McCain explained what was really happening as far as the crime spikes when she talked about the Defund the Police movement. Last year many precincts lost funding when Liberal leaders decided to pander to the Left and cut police budgets. These budgetary cuts led to retirements and far fewer boots on the ground. Cities that defunded the police, saw spikes in crime since there were fewer policemen to take calls and deter criminals. Some of the cities to this day are still struggling and are too stubborn to fund the police. So it's not a white supremacy thing, it's a defunded police thing. But Hostin here is really just trying to push Critical Race Theory and the idea that our country is inherently racist.
