The MSM is constantly reporting that Trump is losing in polls by somewhere over 10%. It all depends on when the poll was taken and who is reporting. I would bet that the poll samples are largely Dems, not that they would admit that. The MSM is all about boosting Biden. They want Americans to think that Trump has no chance of winning. They want to discourage voters from voting for Trump. So it was a big surprise when CNN’s Jake Tapper decided to school Deputy Campaign Manager Kate Bedingfield over the constitution.
Tapper was talking to Bedingfield about how the Biden campaign has been claiming that the Senators are being unconstitutional in appointing Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court. Tapper explained to her that the Senate is working well within the guidelines of the constitution to appoint a new Justice and Bedington just couldn’t accept it.
“[Biden] said it’s not constitutional, what they’re doing. How is it not constitutional what they’re doing?” Tapper asked Bedingfield.
“His point is that the people have an opportunity to weigh in on this constitutional process through their vote,” Bedingfield explained. “And we are now in the midst of the election. Millions of people have already cast their votes. And you see that the vast majority of people say that they want the person who wins the election on November 3rd to nominate the justice to take this seat.”
“That’s a poll. That’s not the Constitution,” Tapper said trying to interject with reason.
“So, by trying to — by trying to — that is their constitutional — there’s the constitutional process of advise and consent,” Bedingfield continued. “The American people get to have their say by voting for president, by voting for senators. We are now 23 days from the election.”
“Right, but it’s not unconstitutional,” Tapper once again explained.
Bedingfield refused to see reason no matter how many times Tapper tried to reach her. Tapper tried last time but he might as well been speaking to a wall.
“That’s not what the word constitutional means. Constitutional doesn’t mean, I like it or I don’t like it. It means it’s according to the U.S. Constitution. There’s nothing unconstitutional about what the U.S. Senate is doing.”
Watch The Clip Below.
That was almost nonpartisan news at least for a single segment. Kudos to CNN for actually reporting something factual. I guess it’s as they say a broken clock is right at least twice a day.
