She Was Caught Passing A Note At School, And It Ended Up With Her Behind Bars….
You've probably dreamed at some point of pulling a Ferris Bueller and faking an illness to cut class, but one teen appears to have taken the idea too far.
In today's "Teens Gonna Be Teens, No Matter What Kinda Teen They Are" News, a 17-year-old beauty queen was arrested after she allegedly faked lots of doctor notes to avoid going to school.
Madison Cox, who lives in South Carolina and was crowned Miss Spartanburg International and later Miss South Carolina Teen International, was detained by police after it was discovered she'd forged multiple doctor's notes in an effort to skip school.
Police charged Cox with counterfeiting and forgery when they realized she used slips from a chiropractic practice on several days when she'd not had an appointment or when the office was closed.
The high school student used a notepad from Parris Family Chiropractic to write the notes. Reports have not revealed what the notes said or how many Cox wrote.
The medical practice never saw her on the dates she claimed to be sick and unable to attend Byrnes High School, police said.
Cox has taken to Twitter several times over the past week to bash the media circus surrounding her arrest.
"Did they really just put me on the news BC I went to jail for a DOCTORS NOTE???" she tweeted Wednesday.
Before she deleted her controversial tweet, the South Carolina beauty queen added, “I’ve got to learn to stop being so childish and keep my mouth closed.”
She also wrote a tweet asking people why they're so obsessed with her life. My guess is it's because beauty queens are supposed to be perfect, so when they slip up and fuck up like the rest of us, we're especially interested in getting up in their business?
People like seeing the mighty fall! But that's just a guess. Maybe it's that she smells really good or something?!
