Schiff Goes Off The Deep End Warning That We May Lose Part Of The U.S.
Impeachment Manager Adam Schiff has been making preposterous claims when it comes to the impeachment trial. He has badmouthed the trial calling it rigged, and even went as far as to infer that if the Senators vote to acquit, they are doing so under duress. But those claims almost seem reasonable compared to his latest. Schiff is now cautioning that the state of Alaska could be at risk if the Senate does not vote to impeach Trump.
"If abuse of power is not impeachable ... Trump could offer Alaska to the Russians in exchange for support in the next election or decide to move to Mar-a-Lago permanently and let Jared Kushner run the country, delegating to him the decision whether to go to war," Schiff said. "Because those things are not necessarily criminal, this argument would allow that he could not be impeached for such abuses of power. Of course, this would be absurd. More than absurd, it would be dangerous."
The U.S. purchased what is now Alaska from Russia in 1867 for a transfer price of about $120 million in today's dollars. William Seward, who was secretary of state under President Lincoln, had long pushed for the deal. Alaska became the 49th state on Jan. 3, 1959."
These claims are just so far-fetched, but I guess this is starting to become the norm when it comes to Schiff since he actually thinks he proved his impeachment case.
"What's remarkable is you now have Republican senators coming out and saying, yes, the House proved its case. The House proved the corrupt scheme that they charged in the articles of impeachment. The president did withhold hundreds of millions of dollars from an ally to try to coerce that ally into helping him cheat in the next election. That's pretty remarkable when you now have senators on both sides of the aisle admitting the House made its case and the only question is, should the president be removed for office because he's been found guilty of these offenses? I think it's enormously important that the country understand exactly what this president did, and we have proved it," Schiff claimed.
Schiff thinks he proved his case, despite the fact that the Senate already voted against having witnesses. So there is no telling what else he believes. And he represents Americans...
