The other day Trump said that he wished Ghislaine Maxwell well regardless of how things turn out. The MSM and libs took this as Trump condoning what Epstein and Maxwell did to many underage victims. Press Secretary McEnany explained that once again the MSM is wrong and Trump was by no means condoning her actions, he was simply wanting justice to be served.
Trump comment on Maxwell:
“I just wish her well, frankly,” he told reporters. “I’ve met her numerous times over the years… I just wish her well, whatever it is.”
Press Secretary addressed this comment on FOX News with Brett Baier.
“Well, what the president was noting is that the last person who was charged in this case ended up dead in a jail cell,” McEnany explained. “And, the president wants justice to be served for the victims in this case and he prefers this to play out in a courtroom.”

“And, let me note one more thing, Bret,” McEnany interjected. “You know, this president is the president that banned Jeffrey Epstein from coming to Mar-a-Lago. This president was always on top of this, ahead of this, noting this – banning this man from his property long before this case was even being played out in a court of law.”
Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in a prison cell while on suicide watch after it was discovered that he was running a sex island with minors. There are also numerous claims that Epstein had been part of many rapes and assaults. I don’t think many tears were shed when he died, but many were outraged that he was dead before he could give up the names of the rich and powerful people that had joined him in these heinous acts. But his girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell was supposedly a big part of the organization and also knew what was going on. Trump had met the couple prior to Epstein’s capture and death. He found them to be friendly but strange. Trump also claimed that they had a falling out when Epstein tried to take an employee’s underage daughter home with him. Trump further explained that he hasn’t been keeping up with the case and so he likely didn’t know the level of Maxwell’s involvement.
