Pentagon’s Kirby Makes A Shockingly Cold Statement About Stranded Americans

We are now seeing just how cold-blooded this Administration is with Afghanistan and all of the Americans they abandoned. They estimate that somewhere between 150 and 200 Americans were left behind in that hostile territory, so you’d think that everyone in the Biden Administration would be working to get them home considering they abandoned them. But the Pentagon’s Press Secretary John Kirby claims that he is not aware of any contact with the Taliban. So I guess out of sight out of mind when it comes to the stranded Americans?

Fox News’ Jen Griffin asked Thursday: “Has anyone from the Pentagon or CENTCOM had any contact with the Taliban… since the last troops left to begin making arrangements to either coordinate or work together?”
Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby responded: “None that I’m aware of.”And it gets worse, Kirby later claimed that a reporter should follow up with other countries when it comes to getting the airport up and running so Americans can get out.

Reporter:  Thank you.  So the — Secretary Austin and Turkish defense minister had several phone calls about the — providing security to Afghanistan.  But what’s the latest update, I would like to ask?  And the second question is, it seems airport security provider is still unclear.  How will those be able to leave if there is no functioning airport?

MR. KIRBY:  Yeah, no, I got that part.  The — the first question, the — an update to what?

Reporter:  Well, like the — I mean, the airport in Afghanistan.  So there was the update, the — the airport security (inaudible).

MR. KIRBY:  Airport security.

Reporter:  Yes.

MR. KIRBY:  Yeah, I think you’ve heard the State Department talk about this.  There’s a number of countries that are in discussions — Qatar and Turkey are two of them — for being able to provide some measure of airport security so the airport can get back up and running, and I understand that they are discussing with themselves how to move forward with the Taliban on that, and I would refer you to those two countries for updates.  We would not be a party to that discussion.

So they should refer to other countries on when the Taliban gets their airport open? Shouldn’t we be on top of that considering we have at least 100 Americans still on the ground there? This whole operation really shines a light on how little the Biden Admin cares about American citizens.
