OMG Socalist Sanders Goes Full Putin Sympathizer: ‘Should Put Ourselves In Russia’s Position’

The socialist relic, Bernie Sanders argued with Illinois Sen Dick Durbin saying that the US should sympathize with Russia and President Putin’s power grab in Ukraine. Durbin wants the US to stand strong against Russia’s attempts to expand their reach into Ukraine but Sanders sees things through communist eyes, I guess?

“I only ask my friend from Illinois to put himself into the mindset of Russians,” Sanders said.

The full exchange can be seen on C-span to anyone who has that kind of time. In essence, Sanders said we need to put ourselves in Russia’s shoes. Adding that the former KGB agent has legitimate concerns which sounded a lot like he wants the US to hand over Ukraine to Russia.

“Vladimir Putin may be a liar and a demagogue, but it is hypocritical for the United States to insist that we as a nation do not accept the principle of spheres of influence.” Sanders argued.

Sanders pushed for a diplomatic resolution. Durbin argued that sending stern letters wouldn’t work anymore.

Sanders doubled down on his argument that Americans ought to see issues via Russia’s eyes, going as far as to present validation to a few of Putin’s doable issues.

“Should we not put ourselves a little bit in Russia’s position in understanding that if we consider Latin America, Central America, the Caribbean within our sphere of influence – the right to intervene – that Russia itself might have some legitimate concerns about military forces five miles from their border?” Sanders demanded swinging his arms around wildly.

I think someone needs to make sure Sander has been taking his medication. Sanders even manager to drop climate change into his long-winded pro-Russia speech. Declaring it was an ‘existential threat’ to the whole planet.

Aren’t you glad this two-time presidential bid loser never made it up in the ranks?
