Ocasio-Cortez Get Embarrassed By Wells Fargo CEO During Questioning

Democratic Dumbell Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has really been on a streak lately with blowing it and embarrassing herself when it comes to questioning individuals during their testimonies before Congress.

This time, she made herself look stupid when interviewing CEO of Wells Fargo, Timothy Sloan.

According to The Blaze,

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) tried to grill the CEO of Wells Fargo during his testimony before Congress on Tuesday but it resulted in embarrassing video for the upstart freshman congresswoman.

Timothy Sloan testified in the House Financial Services Committee Hearing meant to hold “megabanks” accountable. Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) chairs the committee and headed the hearing.

First, Ocasio-Cortez tried to tie Wells Fargo to children being separated from their families at the border, but Sloan straight up told AOC they had any direct involvement.

AOC: “Why was the bank involved in the caging of children and financing the caging of children to begin with?”

SLOAN: “I don’t know how to answer that question because we weren’t.”

AOC: “Uh, so in finan… you’ve, you were financing, involved in debt financing in CoreCivic and GEO group, correct?” (Referring to two public prison firms)

SLOAN: “For a period of time, we were involved in financing one of the firms, we are not anymore. I’m not familiar with the specific assertion you are making, we were not involved in that.”

Having failed there, she then moves to global warming. She asked Sloan if they should be responsible for paying for cleanup from spills from the Keystone XL pipeline.

SLOAN: “I don’t know how’d you calculate that, congresswoman.”

AOC: “Say from spills, or when we have to reinvest in infrastructure building sea walls from the erosion uh, of, um, from the erosion of infrastructure or cleanups, wildfires, et cetera.”

SLOAN: “Related to that pipeline?” Sloan asked. “I’m not aware that there’s been any of what you’ve described that’s occurred that’s related to that pipeline.”

Ocasio Cortez then has to resort to a “hypothetical” situation if it were to occur, then why shouldn’t they be responsible. To which Sloan replied, “Because we don’t operate the pipeline. We provide financing to the company that’s operating the pipeline.”

It seems that she just can’t help but to make a fool of herself.
