Middle School Principal Tries To Brush Off His Hateful Trump Rants
In this digital age, people are constantly forgetting that they can't say whatever they want online without repercussions. Almost everything is searchable and people's pasts are constantly coming back to bite them. Just look at comedian Kevin Hart, he made a joke about destroying his son's dollhouse and libs tried to end his career over it. They stopped him from hosting the Oscars over some gay jokes. But it seems you get more of a pass if you are a Liberal bashing Trump. Bill Gifford, Principal of Thomaston, Maine's Oceanside Middle School, went on a Trump tirade. He posted on social media not only that he hated Trump, but also the supporters, and Gifford got really nasty about it. But it appears he is getting nothing more than a slap on the wrist.
"Donald Trump is not my president and is possibly the worst president ever. I remember several of Donald's trolls threatening to let my Superintendent know that I did not acknowledge DJT as our president. Please let him know now, boys, you know who you are and I hope you are proud of the catastrophe that your guy has created...you know who you are are, "*sswipes." A now-deleted tweet read.
But Gifford was not done there, he called Trump supporters "Trump monkeys," "Ignorant F***ers," "goons," and part of a fascist army. He also claimed Trumpers have small genitalia.
So when word got out about how the principal's over the top hate for Trump and his supporters, Parents called with concerns, which led to Gifford releasing a weak apology.
"Yesterday I learned an important lesson when I made some comments about current events on my private social media account. My mistake was to include profanity and for that I am truly sorry and hope the community can accept this heartfelt apology..."
"...it is a great privilege to hold a leadership position and help guide our youth to realize their full potential. With this great privilege, I realize that I have the responsibility to ensure that I demonstrate effective ways to communicate, even when I disagree, in a way that ensures a productive and respectful dialogue..."
This guy works in a school and influences the education of young teens. His over the top hate for Trump affects the students that attend. But his apology was more than lacking, it missed the point. The tweets would not have been better if he instead called Trump supporters buttwipes or Ignorant breeders. It's not about the profanity, it's about the over the top hate that he is spreading and the poor example he is setting. So far Gifford seems to be in the clear after that apology. But can you imagine if he had been speaking out against Biden or a Liberal social movement? He probably would have lost his job.
