Maybe this is why Kamala Harris has been dodging the border, she doesn’t understand what the Border Patrol does. Harris here is referring to the pictures of border patrol on horseback trying to do their jobs. Despite what the MSM tried to claim there was no violence or anything of that nature. But Harris claimed just by using horses border patrol reminded her of “times of slavery.”
“As we all know it evoked images of some of the worst moments of our history where that kind of behavior has been used against the indigenous people of our country, has been used against African Americans during times of slavery,” Harris said during an appearance on ABC’s The View.
“There needs to be consequences and accountability. Human beings should not be treated that way,” the vice president added.”
Biden also added his two cents.
“It’s horrible what you saw. To see people like they did, with horses, running them over, people being strapped, it’s outrageous,” Biden said. “I promise you, those people will pay. There is an investigation underway right now and there will be consequences.”
The president of the Border Patrol union’s chapter in Del Rio however made it known that they were full of it.
“The horse patrol unit is an effective means of apprehending immigrants who illegally cross our borders every day, along with searching for those who are sick or injured and stranded in the brush,” union president Jon Anfinsen said in a statement. “Suspending them all for even a brief amount of time takes away one of the few remaining units that have been in the field making arrests and rescues on a regular basis.”
Rep Maxine Waters had a similar sentiment to Kamala Harris, and I guess none of the Dems understand what it is that Border Patrol’s job is. But I guess they wouldn’t understand the need for them since they want open borders. I think Anfinsen is practically encouraging Dems with that last statement where he explains without the horse you are further crippling the Border Patrol. The way the Biden Admin is handling things they probably drooled over that information.
