Is Governor Newsom Going To Be Recalled?
Blue state leaders are getting ready to start lockdowns again. Meanwhile, small businesses are on their last legs. There has yet to be a second Corona Relief Package since Pelosi refused to compromise. She played politics with the relief package, refusing to let Trump get a win so near to the presidential election. Now she is looking to pass a bill but it may be too late for many Americans and small businesses, especially those in blue states. So Californians have decided to do something to fight back against Gov Newsom and his overbearing restrictions. They are petitioning for a recall for the governor as they feel he is killing their businesses and very livelihoods.
"California’s looming restrictions based on regional intensive care unit capacities are reigniting an effort to recall Governor Gavin Newsom.
Many Sacramento area business owners are now backing the campaign. The campaign was born in June of this year and now has half of the signatures it needs to call for a special election by March.
Small business owners said Newsom’s latest decision was the last straw.
“It’s hard on everyone,” said Crystal Mitchell.
Mitchell was emotional talking about her business, Salon Cuvee, which opened one year ago. The impending stay-at-home order may be a death sentence to her shop.
“How are we going to get through it this time?” Mitchell said."
Hairstylist Diana Ciocan has been going door-to-door to get signatures.
“My livelihood is at stake once more, so we need you to sign,” she said."
"In order to force Gavin Newsom to stand before the wheel in a recall election, supports will need to submit 1.6 million signatures. So far they’ve collected more than 800,000 so they’re more than halfway to their goal. But unlike the original grassroots effort, now we’re seeing a significant number of business owners getting in on the action."
It would be amazing if they could get him recalled but I don't know if they realize the solution is to get a GOP leader in office. It would help them substantially. But I am surprised they are only now petitioning for a recall. California has been needing a change in leadership for years now. Fecal matter lining many a sidewalk, booming homeless population, wildfires due to mismanagement, rat infestation, and the threat of medieval diseases, but it's lockdowns that are too much...
