During this pandemic, we all have to do our part and keep our distance from others, especially if we become infected by this virus. But a Kentucky resident decided he was not going to listen to reason and refused to self-quarantine. So now the local government has stepped in.
“We have had the first instance of an individual who has refused to self-isolate,” Gov. Beshear announced during a press conference over the weekend, explaining, “We have taken the steps to force a[n] isolation that will be in their home.”
Law enforcement agents are now stationed outside of the man’s home to ensure he stays quarantined.
The governor continued, “This is a Nelson County resident that has tested positive, left against medical advice, refused to self-quarantine. We have worked with the county judges and others — it’s a step I hoped that I’d never have to take, but we can’t allow one person who we know has this virus to refuse to protect their neighbors.”
“We’ve got to make sure that people who have tested positive, that we know could be spreading the virus, and simply refuse to do the right thing, do the right thing,” Beshear said.”
“Beshear also told all hospitals in the state to stop performing any elective procedures by the close of business Wednesday and told all child care centers to plan for closure on short notice, possibly within 72 hours.
“We just have to do what it takes to lessen the spread of this coronavirus and I don’t want to be the governor that waits two weeks too late to take some of those steps,” Beshear said in an afternoon news conference.”
“The Democratic governor said he expects more people to test positive because the virus is being “community spread,” meaning that it’s moving from person-to-person in Kentucky and cases are popping up without known linkages. That has led to drastic measures across the state, including the closure of churches and schools and tight restrictions on visitors to nursing homes and jails, in order to limit the spread of the respiratory illness.”
The Corona Virus is not going to be fatal to everyone, this virus is for the most part only deadly to those with weakened immune systems and the elderly, so it is the responsibility of every American to protect our neighbors and prevent the spread.
Seeing as how this virus is spread by CONTACT . How is it ,, it pops up in strange places with no known infected people there to spread it ??. SOMETHING THE GOV ISN’T TELLING US PEOPLE. oR ,, THEY HAVE SOMETHING ELSE GOING ON THEY AREN’T TELLING US ABOUT AS WELL. JMHO PEOPLE LOL.
Seems some people are carriers and don’t know it while others do and don;t care. Much like the HIV virus. It is spread by those unaware they were exposed and those who just don’t care. We, as citizens of this nation need to remember, it isn’t DC, it isn’t Hollywood, and it isn’t the elite who make our nation great but we, the common citizens. We need to work together for the good of all of us not a party, not the government nor Hollywood and the elites but for each and everyone of us who will truly feel the effects of this virus. We are America and we will be the ones who pull our nation up from this disaster as we have done from the beginning. We need to start pulling together and work to ending this as quickly as we can.
We have police making the man restrict himself, and yet we have a Democrat dispstick in Denver who has tested positive that REFUSES to restrict himself and they are letting him do as he pleases?
