The George Floyd Protesting libs are up in arms and blaming every policeman everywhere for his treatment. This has led to the ridiculous notion that liberal politicians are now regurgitating where they are calling to defund the police. Rep Ilhan Omar has been championing this cause blaming all police for the death of George Floyd. But when asked what happens after the police are defunded her whole argument fell apart and the best part is this was the MSM that blew up her weak stance.
Rep Ilhan Omar appeared on CNN’s “The State of the Union” with Jake Tapper. Tapper asked Omar about what will happen after the police are defunded and she started flailing.
“So, Minneapolis unanimously just voted on a resolution that will engage the community on a one-year process of what happens as we go through the process of dismantling the department and starting anew,” she began. “A new way forward can’t be put in place if we have a department that is having a crisis of credibility, if we have a department that’s led by a chief who’s suited for racism, if we have a department that hasn’t solved homicide.”
Tapper, clearly through with Omar’s history lesson, responded, “You’re — just to be clear, though, you’re not saying that there’s nothing that takes its place. You’re not saying that if a woman is raped …”
“I think that’s really where the conversation is going wrong, because no one is saying that the community is not going to be kept safe,” she said. “No one is saying crimes will not be investigated. No one is saying that we are not going to have proper response when community members are in danger.”
It seems the whole conversation went wrong once Ilhan Omar didn’t renounce the moronic idea to defund the police. Tapper just pointed out how foolish the idea of defunding the police is. Reform them if you want but defunding or getting rid of the police is just foolish.
They always “think” with their evil heart & not their evil mind. It is all emotion & no logic with the Left.
