A British man with a genetic syndrome that causes low IQ and learning disabilities fathered 15 children with women to whom he had not disclosed his condition, according to new reports.
James MacDougall, 37, fathered children with lesbian women through private donations advertised on social media despite knowing he had incurable Fragile X syndrome, a genetic disorder that leads to low IQ and developmental delay, the New York Post reported.
The genetic disorder causes developmental delays, learning disabilities, and social and behavioral problems, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Children with the condition may also have an intellectual disability.
MacDougall’s name and actions were released Monday in family court. He had attempted to have access to four of the children he fathered.
In the last four years, MacDougall has acted as a sperm donor through private arrangements on a number of occasions and told a family court that he was the father of 15 children, all aged between nearly four and a few months old. The most recent child was born in February of this year.
Despite signing an agreement that he did not want any contact with some of his children, MacDougall applied to the Family Court for parental responsibility and child arrangements orders, allowing him to spend time with four of his children. Three mums were opposed to MacDougall’s application and judge Mrs. Justice Lieven ruled he should not have parental responsibility for the children as it would cause harm to them.
According to reports that MacDougall’s mom lives in her family home in Nottinghamshire and says her son is “kind-hearted but gullible”.
She added: “He wanted to be part of their lives, he wanted to see his children. He is kind-hearted and would do anything for anybody but he is gullible. He just wanted to help those people, help those women in a gay relationship fulfil their dreams and become parents. He didn’t seek any money, as far as we are aware, for providing that service, he just did it.'”
MacDougall had advertised on a Facebook page for lesbian women seeking sperm donors.
The judge forbade MacDougall from applying for parental rights for at least the next three years, “because of his complete lack of insight into his conduct, and because it would be traumatizing to the mothers, and said he should be named to stop other women from using him as a sperm donor,” The Mirror reported.

The worse part of this is that the gene pool of lower intelligence people has been increased enough to affect society overall. This is an unnatural amount of additional problems wrongfully being brought into existence in the general population. This is as impactful as spreading a very serious communicable disease. This man’s wish to “help” lesbian women have happiness by bearing offspring is instead bringing additional harm to the human race. His intention is misguided, caused by his own low intelligence, bringing additional disasters upon the people who are and who will be involved.
