We are ten days away from when a senile old man will be taking over the White House. Yet Dems once again think that they should impeach Trump. This time they claim that the president incited a raid on the U.S. Capitol Building. The Dems think that they can impeach Trump whenever they feel like it, some are even saying that they should wait until after the first 100 days of Biden’s presidency. Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz claims the laws are not with them. You can’t impeach someone who is not the president. But facts never stopped Dems before…
Dershowitz explained how irrational Dems were being during an interview on FOX’s “Sunday Morning Futures,”
“It will not go to trial. All the Democrats can do is impeach the president in the House of Representatives. For that, all you need is a majority vote. You don’t have to take evidence, there are no lawyers involved,” Dershowitz said. “But the case cannot come to trial in the Senate because the Senate has rules and the rules would not allow the case to come to trial until – according to the majority leader – until 1 p.m. on Jan. 20, one hour after President Trump leaves office.”
Dershowitz added that “the Constitution specifically says the president shall be removed from office upon impeachment.” He said that because it does not say “the former president,” the Senate’s “jurisdiction is limited to a sitting president,” barring the possibility of a trial.”
What are Dems going to do reinstate Trump as president to try and impeach…
Anyone that actually listened to the rally the morning of the raid would see that Trump did not call for his supporters to attack anything. He simply told them to root on Perdue and Loeffler. But I guess Dems would think cheering on the GOP as an impeachable offense.
